In 1919, the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) was established by academic and industrial chemists around the globe with a strategic, critical mission - to accelerate the speed of scientific advancement through the creation of a common language for chemistry.
Now the world authority on chemical nomenclature and terminology (including the naming of new elements in the periodic table), on standardized methods for measurement, and on atomic weights and many other critically-evaluated data, IUPAC will celebrate its Centenary in 2019 in Paris, France.
IUPAC’s Centenary offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to promote, celebrate, and advance the accomplishments of the chemical sciences on a global scale, and you are invited to join the celebration as either a general sponsor or as an exclusive sponsor of a specific event.

Goals of the Centenary Celebration
While the Centenary wishes to recognize the successes of IU-PAC’s first one hundred years, its purpose is not to solely dwell upon the past, but rather to look to future of what the IUPAC Community can do to:
 Improve the public appreciation of chemistry in meeting world needs.
 Unite chemists around the globe through the development of a common language for the free exchange and use of digital chemical data.
 Promote the contributions made by the men and women of the IUPAC Global Community over the past one hundred years.
 Advocate the value and importance of science literacy.
 Catalyze younger generations of men and
